Another blessed day in Makumba

Today we mostly leisurely rose and ate a great breakfast and then walked to church.  Jako led us all in a continuing study of Celeb, what a Godly man.  Then Richard presented a sermon/story about Alisha and the dueling alters (spoiler, God wins).  The way it was presented was lively and it encouraged the locals to re-tell the story again and again.
After we walked home, we had tuna fish and PBJ sandwiches (not necessarily a combination of those ingredients).  Then we all snuck up to the orphanage where a surprise going-away party was arranged for Olivia (a wonderful young lady who has been here for the last year).  We had frosted cake (a real treat in the bush).

And to top the day off, we had dinner with the orphans and enjoyed a great time sharing with them.
Tomorrow we’ll try to get the rest of our tasks done before leaving here.  Hopefully the locals will show up to mix concrete, and the fence gang will finish hanging the fence wire.
Linner, Erika says “I’m standing right here, I can hear you!”
Tim Owens, thanks so much for the devotional guide you sent with us.  We’ve been doing one around the campfire at night most evenings.

  1. We will be praying for the trip home for all of you returning!!! God Bless you all for your labors there! I love the verses that say that "The word of God NEVER returns void, but ALWAYS accomplishes the purposes for which He sent it."

Thank you all for the sacrifices made to be able to do all you have there in christ!!! I hope to meet you all this side of heaven. :)
