Just a quick update.

Today was a nice relaxing day after yesterday's seriously hard workday. The steel that arrived was cut into 6 meter pieces to fit on the truck that delivered it, so we spent all day stitching the pieces back together to make 15 meter (about 50 feet) sections.

Just when we thought we couldn't go much further because of the intense sun and heat, the Lord saw fit to provide some very heavy cloud cover that made it doable to keep going.

Today we enjoyed a much less charismatic church service and we sang a couple of classic hymns for the Tonga congregation.

Tomorrow, the goal is to erect the new water tower in the morning and start constructing the roof trusses in the afternoon. Please pray for endurance for us.

Everyone is doing and feeling great.  We leave the bush Wednesday morning.

  2. HELLO AGAIN GUYS--

LET ME APOLOGIZE FOR TYPING IN ALL CAPS. I WAS TOLD IT SEEMS LIKE I'M SCREAMING AT WHOEVER I'M WRITING...NOT! I'M JUST TOO LAZY TO HAVE TO MESS AROUND WITH PROPER PUNCTUATION.

LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT--YOU ARE PUTTING THE WATER TOWER ON TOP OF AN OLD TERMITE MOUND??? ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THOSE LITTLE BUGGERS THAT FLY AROUND AND WERE EATING MY MOM'S HOUSE DOWN IN FLORIDA? WHY??

WOW! BOBBY, BE CAREFUL! JAKO MIGHT WANT TO KIDNAP AND KEEP YOU BECAUSE YOU CAN FIX ALL OF THESE THINGS THAT MIGHT SEEM INSIGNIFICANT TO ANYONE ELSE BUT VERY IMPORTANT TO THE FOLKS WHO HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT. AND IT'S JUST A FEW MORE THINGS THAT JAKO CAN CROSS OFF HIS 'TO DO" LIST.

    I REPEAT--YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

  4. God is so good about providing cloud cover isn't He? Last year at the stump farm clouds were such a blessing. Being there is such a powerful reminder of those critical but simple blessings - here we may complain of those cloudy days but there we pray for them so we can continue to work. Praying for all of you as you continue to accomplish good things under His love, encouragement and plan. Love to Kerry and the rest of the team.
