Another wonderful day

We all started the day with the seasonal ritual of tilting the very large solar array at camp toward the sun - that thing is seriously heavy.  Jako, Steve, and Bill were about to continue welding up the water tower when the welder we were using gave up the ghost, followed closely by the backup welder.  So tomorrow, we're headed to Choma (about an hour away) to pick up a new one so we can continue our construction projects.

Jako is still trying his best to get the metal for the school roof transported out to the bush.  Apparently there's a nation-wide fuel shortage, many towns are completely out of diesel and petro (gasoline).

There's still a lot to do around camp, so several smaller projects got moved up and accomplished.  Kerry and Bobby revamped the "custom" tent door on the large camp tent.

Candi and Amber are still going through all of the clothes and stuff we brought over with us, about 400 pounds of stuff!

God is being so very good to us here, and we know you all are praying for us.

BTW, we really enjoy and covet your responses here on the blog!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you every day! Ashley wanted you to know she passed the next part of her math unit! Yay! She has also been taking the boys for a walk in the afternoons with Grandma. Josh says Hello from Bridgewater. Love you, Margaret

  3. Absolutely praying for you all. I know you will be very sad to learn you will miss the s-n-o-w in the forecast for Friday! Ok, maybe the little J's will be sad as they had a bit of it when they were in Texas. Hope Kerry is learning all about solar so our next house can have incorporate it - lots of sun at the beach! hehe Accomplishing "little" tasks is no mean feat in the bush; I know it will be a relief to have them out of the way. God will provide for the roof when it fits in His time table. So thrilled to hear Bobby is having a great time there. Hugs and love to all!

  6. Bobby, keep your eyes open brother. You don't want to miss anything.
Steve, I wasn't there this year so Jako can't blame the broken tools on me, but I am sure I could have managed to ruin a welder or two. :)
Candi, your message to BEA was appreciated. Hope you are not trying too hard to keep up with Amber. Remember to try to force her into some down time with you, and good luck with that!!
Bull, it sounds like you guys have got some good stuff happening. Don't forget to rock out church with all those awesome songs on Sunday.
Kerry, keep your eyes to the skies my friend. Can't wait to hear how things might look different in a differing g season.
Jouberts, I miss and love each of you. Steve will be giving you hugs for me (got that Steve?)

    Blessings all.
