Heading back to Zambia

Rainy Season here we come!!! Please pray for us as we leave on Friday Nov 23rd to brave the muddy rivered roads of Zambia. These last few weeks here in South Africa have been good as we have been able to clean up and clear out in preperation of our move to Zambia and get some much needed business done here both personally and for the ministry. But now the time has come to return and we are so eager for it even though we have no idea what to expect.... ; ) But then again that is half the fun : ) You see although we have had reports that Zambia has been getting a good ammount of rain this past month - we don't really know what it will look like until we get there. Please pray for us as we try to take a full load of items in our vehicle and trailer to Mukamba. Depending on the road conditions with the rain- we are praying that we make it there as a lot of the roads we use to get there this time of year are impassible. We've done what we can to make the vehicle and trailer as rainy season worthy as possible so we'll do our best and see what God will do.

In Zambia the words rainy season and unpredictable basically go hand in hand and so our ministry plan for this trip is very much up in the air. First we hope to see if we can help get a little girl with a lame leg, the help she needs in Lusaka, but we would also like to get some more work done on the buildings there in Mukamba if the weather allows. Apart from that we will take it day by day. All we know is that Mukamba and the surrounding areas need the rain this season - it was not a good rainy season last year and the people are completely dependant on the rain for their crops and sustinence. So despite the rain difficulties for us we rejoice when it comes because it is truly a gift from heaven.

An added blessing is that Michelle, a lovely young lady who has been on several outreaches to Zambia is comming with us this time. We look forward to her company and help. Also Johan and his group (about 10?) are going to be comming up shortly after us and plan to spend a night in Mukamba visiting us before they head onto Kawfumbilla next to lake Kariba. We even hope to spend some days with them there as well as it has been a few years since the last time we visited. We use to do outreaches there a lot before God called us to Mukamba so just to visit old friends there will be nice.

God willing we plan to be back in South Africa by December 14th so that we can keep packing and celebrate the holidays with my mother before heading back up again the beginning of January. Thanks so much for all your prayers, support, friendship, and encouragement,

with much appreciation and gratitude for you,
Jako and Amber Joubert
